Steaua Bucharest wins the Champions League and the European SuperCup

In 1986, the romanian footbal soccer team Steaua Bucharest won the European Champions Cup, in the great final against the powerfull FC Barcelona. Later on, they also beat Dinamo Kiev for the European Super-Cup.

Steaua is the most beloved club in Romania, and the most known from Eastern Europe, was the first East European club to have won the UEFA Champions League Cup (at that time named European Champions Cup - 1986). 21 times Romanian Champions and almost the same number (20) of Romanian Cup winner, Steaua is setting a record on Romanian football history.
